An
Opportunity Uncovered |
During the call the ABC Electronics Project
Manager, PAM, communicates that her new project will be shared between their
UK and US development teams and it would appear the US were further down stream
with their activity. SAM used
the Visit
Report Module to document the call.
So SAM then gets back onto the Internet and connects directly
to the central server in online mode. He invokes the Diary
Module to schedule a conference call with the Components,
Inc. GAM (Global Account Manager) in a time slot that
the Diary Module shows as being free. |

The conference call happens the next afternoon and SAM is happily back in his
office on his sixth coffee of the day.

During the conference call, the GAM in the US
requests SAM in the UK to create an opportunity in the Opportunity
Module so the globally focused Components,
Inc. account team can get access to the information.
SAM does this and includes simple information about the compelling
event, the product interests and the political alignment of
the contacts known to him.

During this review, it becomes clear that the opportunity is a solid one so,
after some discussion, it is converted to a project in the Project
Module. The GAM immediately sends an action
out to the complete global team to look at the project detail and add value
wherever they are able.

Account Manager is fully scaleable. All the modules
come together to build a complete sales methodology that is
centred on identifying the compelling event within the sales cycle,
and what needs to happen by when. |
